The Suffolk County Landbank Corporation ("SCLBC"), today issued two Requests for Qualifications ("RFQs") to solicit qualification statements from outside organizations, for future opportunities.
The first RFQ, for Non-Profit Community Housing Development Partners is targeted toward non-profit organizations with the ability and expertise to provide housing maintenance, security, property management, rehabilitation, and disposition services in connection with the redevelopment and rehabilitation of vacant, abandoned, and foreclosed homes within Suffolk County.
The second RFQ is for for microloan technical assistance providers with the expertise and capacity to assist the SCLBC in launching a revolving loan fund (“RLF”) for the assessment and cleanup of brownfield properties. A brownfield property is defined as "real property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant".
