Suffolk County Side Lot Program - RFP

The Suffolk County Landbank Corporation (SCLBC) is soliciting proposals for the development of Suffolk County’s Side Lot Program, a project that allows responsible landowners to acquire vacant, County-owned, substandard-size parcels of real property adjacent to their existing property. The Suffolk County Side Lot Program aims to return hundreds of these side lots to their highest and best use, put the properties back on municipality tax rolls, increase property values throughout the County, and promote neighborhood stabilization. The SCLBC is currently managing a side lot pilot program that will inform the development of the wider County program. The SCLBC has secured funding from New York Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) to establish this program.

The SCLBC intends to enter into a contract with the selected proposer within 90 days of the proposal due date. This timeline is subject to change based on approval of the SCLBC’s Board of Directors.

All questions and communications regarding this RFP must be submitted via email to landbank@suffolkcountyny.gov. Technical questions are due by April 15th, 2025 at 5 PM EST.
